Flyscreen Corner Pieces Set

A set is four corner pieces and two wind clips, which is exactly one screen. Building three screens means ordering three sets.

The corners are what turn four cut lengths of PVC frame into a rectangle. Nothing else in the kit does that job.

The two wind clips are the part people leave in the packet and then wish they had not. On a large panel they are what stops the frame flexing in a gust.

Black, brown or white at the same price, to match the frame you are building with.

They need no tools. The pieces push into the profile, which is the whole of the assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is in a set?

Four corner pieces and two wind clips. That is enough for exactly one screen.

How many sets do I need?

One per screen. If you are cutting one large screen into three, that is three sets, and it is the number people most often get wrong on a first order.

What are the wind clips for?

Stopping a large panel flexing in a gust. The flexibility of the PVC frame is what makes these screens slim, and on a big screen that same flexibility is what lets the wind move it.

Do I have to use the wind clips?

On a small screen you can leave them out. On a large one, fit them. They are in the set precisely because that is where they earn their place.

Do I need tools?

None. The pieces push into the profile and that is the assembly.

What colours are they?

Black, brown and white, all at the same price. Match them to the frame colour you are building with.

Will they fit the PVC frame you sell?

Yes, that is what they are made for. They fit the flexible PVC flyscreen frame sold by the metre here.

Will they fit another brand's frame?

Assume not. Profiles differ between makers, and a corner piece is a shape that either matches or does not.

Can I buy them to replace broken corners?

Yes, and that is a common order. A screen with one snapped corner needs a set, not a new screen.

What else do I need to build a screen?

PVC flyscreen frame by the metre, a sheet of replacement mesh and magnetic strip by the metre, plus this set. All are sold separately here.

Are they strong?

They are made for the job and for the frame they go into. The wind clips exist because wind, not weight, is what tests a screen frame.

Will they rust?

No. There is no metal in them to rust.

Will they go brittle in the sun?

They are specified for window use and hold up to a season outdoors. Anything plastic left in full sun for many years will eventually weather.

Can I take a screen apart and reuse them?

Yes. They push in, so they come out. Take care not to distort a corner while you are levering it.

Do I need them for a velcro screen?

No. A velcro screen has no frame at all, which is why it costs less. Corner pieces are for the magnetic screens.

What if I only need one corner?

They are sold as a set of four with the clips. A spare corner in a drawer is a useful thing to have anyway.

Do they come with instructions?

They push into the ends of the profile. If you are assembling a screen for the first time, order the frame, mesh and strip together and work with the whole kit in front of you.

Can I use them on a door screen?

No. Door screens here are curtain screens with a sewn magnetic seam and no frame at all.

Do they show on the finished screen?

At the corners, which is why they come in three colours. Matched to the frame, they read as part of it.

Is there a minimum order?

One set. Order one per screen you are building.

Can I mix colours?

You can, and it will look like you did. Match the corners to the frame.

What size window do the wind clips matter on?

Rule of thumb: if the panel is a metre and a half or more on its long side, fit them.

Are they the same as on your finished screens?

Yes. A screen bought here can be repaired with exactly what it was built from.

How long does delivery take?

Allow five to seven days. Demand runs hard through the warm months and we would rather quote the real number than the optimistic one.

Is delivery free?

Orders over EUR 50 ship free anywhere in Austria, which saves the EUR 22 express charge.

Does a set include the frame?

No. This is four corners and two wind clips only. The flexible PVC frame is sold by the metre, separately.

Does a set include mesh or magnetic strip?

No. Both are sold separately here, along with the frame.

What if a corner is stiff to push in?

Line the profile up square and push it home steadily rather than forcing it at an angle. Cold PVC is stiffer, so a cold offcut is easier once it has warmed up indoors.

Can I order more later to match?

Yes. All three colours are stock, so a later set matches the first.

How do I know which colour I need?

Match the PVC frame you bought. If you are ordering both together, pick one colour for the whole screen.

What a corner piece set is for

5 min read Magnetic Screens

What a set is

Four corner pieces and two wind clips. That is one screen.

It is worth being blunt about it, because the number is the thing people get wrong on a first order. Building three small screens out of one large one means three sets, not one.

What the corners do

They make four cut lengths of PVC frame into a frame.

That sounds obvious and it is the entire job. The flexible PVC profile is sold by the metre and cut to each side of your window. Until the corners go in, you have four lengths of profile and a plan. They push in with no tools at all.

What the wind clips do

This is the part that gets left in the packet.

The reason a magnetic window screen looks slim rather than bulky is that its frame is flexible PVC instead of rigid aluminium. On a small window, flexible is only an advantage. On a large panel, a strong gust will move a flexible frame, and a frame that moves is a screen that stops sitting flush.

The two wind clips in every set are the answer to that. Rule of thumb: if the panel is a metre and a half or more on its long side, fit them.

When people buy these

Three cases, and they cover nearly every order.

Building a screen from scratch for a window no stock size fits. Splitting one large screen into two or three smaller ones, which is usually the cheapest way to do a whole house. And replacing a corner that snapped, on a screen where everything else is perfectly good and a whole new screen would be absurd.

Colour

Black, brown or white, all the same price.

The corners are visible on the finished screen, which is why there is a choice. Match them to the frame colour. Mixing them looks exactly like mixing them.

The rest of the kit

Corner pieces on their own do not make a screen. You also need PVC flyscreen frame by the metre, a sheet of replacement mesh in the grade you want, and magnetic strip by the metre.

All four are sold separately here, and if you have not assembled one before, order them together so the whole kit is in front of you rather than arriving in instalments.

Page summary

Flyscreen Corner Pieces Set: four corner pieces plus two wind clips, sold as one set, which is enough for exactly one window fly screen. Available in black, brown or white at the same price to match the PVC flyscreen frame. The corner pieces join four cut lengths of flexible PVC flyscreen frame into a rectangular screen frame, and the wind clips stop a larger panel flexing in strong wind. They require no tools and push into the profile. Bought when building a new screen, when cutting one large screen into several smaller ones, or when replacing corners broken on an existing screen. Sold alongside PVC flyscreen frame by the metre, magnetic strip by the metre and replacement flyscreen mesh, which together make up a complete screen.
